St Aidan's Catholic Primary Academy

Every child is assigned to one of our four houses - St Peter’s & St Paul’s, St Teresa’s, St Francis St & Cedd’s named after our three parish churches. All pupils from Year 1 meet fortnightly in their Houses to discuss any issues that are important to them. Our Year 6 House Captains and Sports Captains lead House Forum. They organise the agendas for the meetings, minutes are taken and sometimes a vote is taken on important issues. another Year 6 Forum member gives a ote of thanks.

Each House has a £250 budget to spend on school improvement which is decided upon by the House members. Each House also chooses a charity every year. They have to raise at least £250 for their chosen charity. The House decides how best to raise this money. House Forum has been involved in improving playground facilities. They have also monitored our school dinners and packed lunches. They have supported several charities through non-uniform days, cake sales, raffles, inviting in speakers and sponsored activities.
